Anonymous researcher 'Nightmare Eclipse' publicly released a CrowdStrike Falcon zero-day (FalconFlank) enabling SYSTEM privilege escalation on fully patched Windows systems. Bleeping Computer reports the exploit is functional and weaponizable.

Public disclosure by a reputable security firm (Mandiant, CrowdStrike threat intel, CISA), media reporting, or confirmed use in APT intrusions documented in OSINT or vendor threat reports by Sept 30, 2026.
